Investing in Independent Cinema
Have a Stake in a Film
Here's the nitty-gritty of how our film financing works. We have a projected budget of $680,000 to make this film. What's considered "micro-budget" for the entertainment industry. This includes paying our cast and crew livable wages as a SAG-AFTRA set. We have investment tiers available based on the amount you are interested in contributing to the production of the film. Each tier is then guaranteed a different percentage of the film's ultimate profits (known as back end points), including some merchandising. Alternatively, if you are interested in a more "traditional" film financing model, you can opt for your investment back, plus 20% of your original investment contribution upon profitability of the film. And, of course, each tier comes with additional perks for our investors (credits in the film, tickets to premieres, and red carpets just to name a fewer).
If you would like to learn more about the points available, the specific terms of the investor agreements, projected sales, and any additional information regarding the project, reach out to Emilie and Jasmine here.

Female-Led Western Sci-Fi Action/Adventure Dystopia
Stop me if you've heard this (or THOUGHT it): "Everything today is either a sequel, prequel, or remake!"

The entertainment industry is facing a deep shake-up, resulting in a contraction of productions and industry-wide risk-aversion, which has the unfortunate side effect of fewer innovative shows and movies. If you feel like there's nothing NEW anymore, then you've felt this.

We simply wanted to write a movie we'd want to watch, and we wound up with something revolutionary. With a combination of elements you know and love: the fun punch of an action/adventure, the raw grit of a Western, and the creative freedom (with a dash of dark edge) found only in Sci-Fi. We asked ourselves "what would we actually do in a dystopian future?" (which didn't take a lot of imagination, with the world as it is today...), and the script exploded to life from there. It's a female-led survival story that shows the resilience of humanity in our inventiveness, fortitude, empathy, and even our violence. And how none of us are built to survive alone.

Sometimes, when your film doesn't follow the "rules," you decide to make the rules yourself.
The importance of Independent Film
"Indy films continued to gain ground on studio equivalents this year, with the top 10 independent features at the box office bringing in a combined $1.6 billion – an almost-30% increase on last year’s takings." - IndyFilmLibrary.com

"It’s been a little more than a year since the Great Netflix Freak-out... In that time, it’s become clear that the business model dominating modern Hollywood is deeply broken but also that it probably isn’t going anywhere — at least not yet."

"The number of scripted TV seasons being ordered in the U.S. has nearly halved since 2019, according to new research from Ampere Analysis"

Now more than ever, independent film is critical to the future of the industry. This is not the first time in history Hollywood has undergone a massive shift - nor will it be the last - but we are unquestionably at a time where our existing financial models are failing us, audiences and filmmakers alike.

Fortunately, there are many business-minded, experienced, creative professionals who aren't waiting around for someone to save us. We are looking to adapt, grow, and uncover a future for the industry that is more profitable and equitable than ever. And it starts with independent, small business production. Independent film can operate with less overhead and operating costs, more rapidly, and more flexibly. We can have more creative freedom, where we can focus on the needs of the audience.

We don't just write about characters who push against systems of economic inequality, we developed our financing model around the same principles.
